- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆This department does its best NOT to help people in hardship! The. Person in charge needs to be replaced with someone who actually cares about people! Especially people in financial hardship and struggling to stay alive that have worked hard and earned the assistance this dept is there to provide people like myself. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Yup... hated it. You can't get through on the phone. The communications are one way if there are any at all. The funds are so delayed, I am not surprised people are on the street! I am still waiting for the form to fill out from July!!! and it is the end of November... yes same year...ha! - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Called in 04/03/2017, listened to the call tree and followed instructions, waited with anticipation, only to be told office is closed. So I checked for government holidays, sure enough there is a holiday on this day, it is National Circus Day (not kidding ) , is this why the government office was closed because of all the clowns took the day off ?By TheDarkAges, June 15, 2017

They have no issues and no hiccups pulling money out of your check, but when you try to file a claim all of a sudden they are the most inept group of paste eaters you've ever talked to. First, their phone line is open from 8am - noon? Who does that? Second, even after filing to have bi-weekly validations through the mail, my wife's claim was closed after one week and we never recieved any paperwork or notice that anything was wrong. Like just about every other state run agency, these people would be fired if they worked anywhere else. Which might be a good thing, then they could experience how rediculously stupid their department is to deal with.By Daniel Smith, October 08, 2016
