  I HSS failed my mother! Adult protective service in Sacramento failed my mother and our family. I called and begged them to help us! I told them that Joanne Levitt was taking advantage of our mother Gloria Stanhope, that she was telling our mom that she didn't have Dementia and that she was taking money from her! Then that Joan (pronounced Joanne) daughter Nikki Leavitt was signed up to be her car provider through IHSS and we were afraid for our mom! They did nothing! iHSS did nothing! I called Med-I-cal fraud and my mother died 3-22-17 because she wasn't being given her medication and Nikki didn't call 911 she called her mom! Then when EMTS came and asked for relative information they gave them my 90 year old aunt first and my cousin told them to call us! We would have our mother alive if APS would have done their job! If IHSS caseworker would have done their job my mother would be alive. All of a sudden Joan Leavitt said my mom made a new hand written will that left her most of what is in the house. My mother was blind! She couldn't write anything that was legible and she had a legal will done by a lawyer. If she signed anything she didn't know what she was signing because she had Alzheimer's! IHSS doesn't care about the people only saving a buck for California. I am heartbroken!

  Such a horrible company. Mr. Martin the social worker doesn't do his job correctly & has the worst attitude. Do not waste your time with this crappy company. Worked for a couple of months & Im not getting payed smh.
